The McWilliams Residence, by John W. McWilliams (1958). Inspired by the Case Study program Engineer John McWilliams set out to build his own personal residence on a Long Beach lot which housed a lumber yard for the Los Altos tract in which it stands. The Architectural elements of the home can be seen on many of the Case Study homes from its time. Blake Nicolai and his Family admired the house from afar on their commute to and from work and when the stars aligned they found themselves purchasing this Architectural home to make it their own.
